Giving Birth to Families: A Foster Care and Adoption Expo

The Federal City Alumnae(FCAC DST)  and Washington DC Alumnae (WDCAC) Chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (FCAC DST) in conjunction with the Progressive Life Center, Inc.  are pleased to announce Giving Birth to Families: A Foster Care and Adoption Expo.  This event is part of Delta Sigma Theta’s Regional Day of Service programming.

The expo will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 9:30am – 3:30pm  at Howard University’s School of Social Work (601 Howard Place, NW, Washington, DC 20059). Howard University is accessible by the Metrorail Green Line, Shaw – Howard University Station or by Metrobus 70, 90, 92 and G2 routes).

The keynote speaker for the expo will be Shane Salter, Child and Family Expert and Author of Fostering Hope.

Allison Seymour, Co-AnchorFox 5 Morning News, will be our moderator for a panel discussion on Foster Care and

Adoption. We will also have various workshops as well as an Exhibitors Fair.
